Bergen Catholic baseball split their pair of games over the weekend, first beating Pascack Valley 7-5 on Friday and then falling to Don Bosco in the County Tournament 11-1 in five innings. Against the Indians, BC went a full seven innings featuring doubles by Charles Chen and Toby Schwartz. Schwartz also belted in a home run. Taking on the top seeded Ironmen proved to be more than the Crusaders could handle, falling to their arch rival for the third time this season. Bosco was propelled by Matt Dacey's powerful bat with a double and home run along with a five-run third inning and four-run fourth inning. BC's lone run came in the second inning and were shut out for the rest of the game as Ironman Tommy Burns continued his shut-out record for the season.
Bergen County Track Championships were this past weekend with Bergen Catholic placing third in Division A; River Dell Boys winning Division B and River Dell girls taking fourth in Division B.
The Crusaders has an overall score of 58 points courtesy of: Tarique Gray's first place finish in the 100 and 200 meters and second place in the 400 meters; Tyler Dilworth's fifth in the 110 high hurdles and fourth in the 400 IH; John Tsimis' 5'10" high jump to fifth and 22-1.5 long jump to third; DJ Dixon's 20-10 long jump to fifth; Teddy D'Amico's 12-0 pole vault to fourth; and first place 4-x-400 relay group of Rafael Rivera, Mario Kranjac, Tyler Dilworth and Tarique Gray.

The Golden Hawks boys scored 83 points to finish: Kevin Connelly, fourth in 110 HH; Craig Marulis, fourth in 400 IH; Dan Messmer and Matt Koh, first and second in Shot Put; Steve Sellers, Pat Sellers and Matt Koh, second, third and fourth in Discuss; Sam Becourtney, first in javelin; Brandon Jurasin, tied for second in high jump; James Canino, second in long jump; Brad Hoey and Lukas Kaefer, third and fourth in pole vault.

River Dell Baseball was shut out 3-0 over the weekend by the Rutherford Bulldogs in seven inning match up.
Lady Hawks Softball defeated Tenafly for the second time in three days on Saturday by a score of 15-3. The team is now 18-5 heading into the state tournament.
