RIVER EDGE, NJ- This past Sunday January 2nd the Bergen County Historical Society in River Edge received a very generous donation of $12,000 from New Milford Mayor Michael Putrino and his family. The donation is going towards the new planned museum building at Historic New Bridge Landing which the society is hoping to break ground on later this year. The family suggested the museum as a recipient when funds were being dispersed from their church, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, which was dissolving. Mayor Putrino is also Commissioner for New Milford on the Historic New Bridge Landing State Park Commission.

For more information on the society’s museum building plans visit www.bergencountyhistory.org/wright-musuem.

The Bergen County Historical Society is an all-volunteer, membership, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, founded in 1902.
