The humidity was cut a bit on Sunday, but it was still hot — hot enough to entice people and pooches to the Navesink waters at Rumson's Victory Park for a little kayaking, paddle boarding, doggie paddling and fishing.
We caught some people taking it all in on in the afternoon, after the Paddle with a Purpose fundraiser to benefit Sea Bright Rising as well as another Asbury Park organization.
We also ran into a dog named Finn who looked like he was swimming back and forth, back and forth along the shore, enjoying himself in the river. Well, his owner said that Finn really wasn't swimming. He was walking in the shallow water. "He's not as confident a swimmer," Finn's dad said. "But he's happy."
And he was — Finn and quite a few other paddlers.
