Give up? The pictured items sit atop the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Company building.

According to the Fair Haven Fire Department website the fire company was formed in 1904. Serving the community for over 100 years now, the Fair Haven Fire Department has grown to include the Fire Department, First Aid Squad, Fire Police Unit, Water Rescue Team and Auxiliary. The Fair Haven Fire Department also entertains the community by throwing New Jersey’s largest Firemen’s Fair each year.
