5 Cars Broken Into Friday In Scotch Plains: Police
The break-ins occurred during the daytime on Friday, according to Scotch Plains Police.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Five cars were broken into during the daytime hours in Scotch Plains on Friday, according to a recent tweet from Scotch Plains Police.
The break-ins took place in the areas of Hill Road, Shackamaxon Drive and West Broad Street, police said.
Scotch Plains Police advise residents to be on alert, as well as lock cars and remove keys/key fobs from inside cars. People are told to call the police if they see anything suspicious.

According to the most recent police blotter, a resident's 2022 BMW X7 was stolen from their driveway on Sunday, July 24. Police said the resident left the key fob inside the car and at approximately 9:30 a.m. heard the vehicle start.
The resident went outside and saw the vehicle heading east on Raritan Road, according to police. The car was then seen later in Irvington. Police said the incident is under investigation.
