New Jersey this week reported 12 COVID-19 deaths and 4,551 new confirmed positive tests, the most new cases in a single day since Jan. 29 when the state was still amid the winter omicron surge. The state’s seven-day average for confirmed cases increased to 3,178 on Thursday, up 33% from a week ago, and up 124% from a month ago. That’s the highest seven-day average since early February and likely represents a dramatic undercount of infections as people increasingly turn to at-home rapid tests that are not reported to the state.

Information on vaccinated residents can be found on the NJ Covid dashboard: https://www.nj.gov/health/cd/topics/covid2019_dashboard.shtml
