Grab Some Popcorn, A Movie Is Being Filmed At This Scotch Plains Diner
A local diner closed for customers last week, as crews were filming a sequel to a popular movie at the location. Find out what film below:

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A favorite local spot for classic diner pancakes, waffles, burgers and more was transformed into a movie set last week.
Scotchwood Diner, located on Route 22, posted on Facebook last Wednesday and Thursday that it would be closed due to the filming of a movie.
According to a diner employee, crews were filming scenes for "The Wrath of Becky" — a sequel to the 2020 film "Becky."

The action thriller film, directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, features well-known actors like Lulu Wilson of "The Haunting of Hill House" among other horror films, Kevin James of "The King of Queens" and "Grown Ups" and Amanda Brugel of "The Handmaid's Tale."
Scotchwood Diner did not release the names of any actors that were filming at the diner last week, but they said Suzanne Coote and Matthew Angel were the directors on set.

According to IMDb, the 2020 film depicts a spunky and rebellious teenager, Becky, played by Wilson, who is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff, played by Joel McHale, in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick, played by Kevin James, suddenly invade the lake house.
