How Much Snow Is Scotch Plains Getting Thursday Night?
The National Weather Service has new predictions for the snow storm that will hit Union County on Thursday night.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Union County released a winter storm warning, beginning Thursday night into Friday morning, predicting around 4-6 inches of snow.
According to the National Weather Service, the snow will begin mainly after 1 a.m. in Scotch Plains and drop around 2-4 inches. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
On Friday, there's a 40 percent chance of snow before 10 a.m. Highs near 35 degrees and west wind 8 to 15 mph. Wind chill values between 20 and 25.

Union County provided the following information:
- Snowfall rates could range between one half inch and one inch per hour in any heavy snow bands.
- Limit travel during this time but if necessary, slow down and use caution while traveling, roads will be slippery and hazardous
- The storm is anticipated for midnight tonight to noon tomorrow.
- Check local Department of Transpiration information services for the latest road conditions.
- Please remember parking on snow covered roads is prohibited, so that snow plow crews and other emergency responders can work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Residents are also urged not to blow or shovel snow from their property into roadways, as this creates hazardous conditions for emergency crews and other drivers.
