Democrats Sweep Scotch Plains-Fanwood Elections: Union County Clerk
Several candidates are vying for seats on Scotch Plains and Fanwood's town councils and school boards this year.

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ — The polls are now closed for the General Election, and vote tallies are in.
Democrats Elizabeth Stamler, Roshan White and Matt Adams have prevailed over Republicans Brian Johdos, Keith Dematteo and Donald Stanzione on the Scotch Plains Township Council, according to unofficial results by the Union County Clerk.

In Fanwood, Democrats Katherine Michel and Gina Berry have won the Borough election, running unopposed, according to unofficial results by the Union County Clerk.
Incumbent Amy Winkler won the Fanwood school board election, and incumbents Stephanie Suriani and Nancy Norris Bauer won the Scotch Plains school board election, according to the Union County Clerk.

- Dematteo: 3,976
- Stanzione: 3,850
- Stamler: 5,789 (projected winner)
- White: 5,624 (projected winner)

- Suriani: 5,338 (projected winner)
- Bauer: 4,716 (projected winner)
- Greenblatt: 3,103
Fanwood Town Council
- Mitchell: 2,385 (projected winner)
- Berry: 2,386 (projected winner)
Fanwood Board of Education
- Winkler: 1,809 (projected winner)
- Morris: 864
