Death-By-Auto-Indictment In Crash That Killed Union Co. Brothers: Cops
The fatal crash occurred in June of last year on Interstate 278, according to Linden Police. One of the victims was just 15 years old.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — An Elizabeth man was indicted on two counts by a Union County grand jury for his involvement in a fatal crash that killed two brothers in June of last year, according to Linden Police Department.
Jose Reyes-Morales, 32, was charged with two counts of second-degree death by auto in connection with the death of 22-year old Manuel Green and 15-year-old Clarence Green of Newark.
Reyes-Morales was driving north on Route 1 in a 2017 BMW sedan when he collided with a 2004 Mazda sedan that was making a U-turn from Interstate 278, Linden Police said.

The Green bothers were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
An ensuing eight-month investigation led by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau, with assistance from the Union County Homicide Task Force, resulted in the charges filed against Reyes-Morales.

He was arrested at his home in Elizabeth on Feb. 22, and received initial charges in March.
