Union County Moms Can Enjoy A Pre-Mother's Day At This Family Festival
Hosted by "Hike it Baby," the free event will include family-friendly hikes, nature crafts, bilingual games and activities and much more.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — For moms who want to spend some time outdoors this Mother's Day weekend, "Hike it Baby" will host a fun-filled event on Saturday at Phil Rizzuto Park.
The free event for Union County families will feature family-friendly hikes within the park, nature crafts, free outdoor gear, bilingual games and activities, a lending library that helps families try baby backpacks, slings and other "baby-wearing" options, and more.
The event will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine. Phil Rizzuto Park is located on the corner of North and Morris Ave. in Elizabeth.

Hike it Baby is an organization that "creates opportunities and removes barriers so families with babies and young children can take their first steps outside."
"We believe all families have the right to connect with nature, benefit from spending time outdoors and be inspired to a lifelong love of nature," the organization said in a statement.

Partners for this event include the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Groundwork Elizabeth, Union County Department of Parks and Recreation and UC County Commissioners and Athletic Brewing Co.
