Weather Update: Thunderstorms Predicted in Scotch Plains-Fanwood This Week

On Wednesday weather forecasters are predicting partly sunny skies with a high near 86 degrees. Wednesday night, forecasters are calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m., with a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

The National Weather Service predicts the rain will continue into Thursday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 a.m., with a 30 percent chance of rain. Skies will clear up Thursday night, but residents will be met with more chances of rain on Saturday night.

High temperatures will remain in or near the 80s through Sunday despite the chance of thunderstorms, the NWS predicts.
