SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — John's Meat Market in Scotch Plains is collecting money to give to former homeless veterans at Valley Brook Village — a veteran's supportive housing complex in Lyons.

The VA complex is hosting a BBQ on May 28 for Memorial Day weekend, and the Scotch Plains meat market is encouraging people to come to the butcher shop to support local veterans.

For those who cannot go visit the store, a GoFundMe page was created by Basking Ridge resident Brooks Betz with the help of non-profit Mr. Local History Project.
