Clifton Man Sexted With Underage Minors, Prosecutor Says
A Clifton man is accused of sexually chatting with who he thought was a 12-year-old girl through online messaging app Kik Messenger.
CLIFTON, NJ — A Clifton man is accused of chatting with two underage children through an online messaging app, and making plans to meet one of them, who he believed to be a 12-year-old girl, for the purpose of having sex with her, said Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll.
The Clifton resident is Brian Stewart, 41. It is alleged that between March 18 through March 27, he engaged in texting of a sexual nature with two children on an app called Kik Messenger. Police say Stewart knew both children, both girls, were 12 years old. One of the people he was texting with was actually a 17-year-old boy posing as a 12-year-old girl.
Police say Stewart made plans to meet the girl in Boonton Township "for the purpose of having sexual intercourse," said the prosecutor. He arranged to meet her at the Boonton Twp. Walmart for the purpose of sexual acts, and police say he brought condoms with him. Police say he also sent multiple photos and videos of his genitalia through Kik Messenger to whom he thought was a 12-year-old girl.
