Cocaine, Molly/Ecstasy Sold On Plaza Drive In Secaucus

SECAUCUS, NJ — On Monday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Saurez announced that three people were arrested after police witnessed multiple illegal drug sales in Secaucus.

The illegal drugs that were sold were cocaine and MDMA (molly/ecstasy), said the prosecutor.

Police detectives said they witnessed these drugs be sold multiple times on Plaza Drive in Secaucus, which is the road in front of the Meadowlands convention center, Harmony hotel and Outback Steakhouse.

Over the course of the investigation, more than 150 grams of cocaine and approximately 20 grams of MDMA were recovered.

Three people were arrested in the drug sales:

  • Nelson Villegas-Rios, 33, of Lyndhurst, charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine/MDMA, plus other charges.
  • Sebastian Ospina Osorio, 34, of New York, is charged with one count of distribution of cocaine.

Both were arrested on August 7 on Plaza Drive in Secaucus. Then, last Tuesday, Sept. 3, Port Authority Police arrested Larry Brito Marin, 27, of Lodi, at JFK airport. He is charged with three counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, among other charges.

This case was investigated by detectives with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force.
