Man Found With Stolen Jeep In Secaucus Walmart Parking Lot: Police
This Jersey City man was found with a stolen Jeep Wrangler Saturday in the parking lot of the Secaucus Walmart, said police.

SECAUCUS, NJ — This Jersey City man was found with a stolen Jeep Wrangler Saturday in the parking lot of the Secaucus Walmart, said police.
At 5:07 p.m. Saturday, a concerned citizen called 911 and reported that a man in the Walmart parking lot "was acting suspiciously and possibly engaging in nefarious activity," said police.
Secaucus Police did not explain what the man was doing that was suspicious.

Detectives from the Secaucus Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit responded and observed the man going in and out of a parked vehicle.
Police checked the registration of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler, and learned that the vehicle had been stolen from New York last Monday, May 6.

Detectives approached Brian Gilliam, 40, of Jersey City and placed him under arrest. He was charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2] and released pending a court appearance.
“The arrest is a testament that when the police and public collaboratively work together, we can curtail criminal activity,” Chief Dennis Miller said. “The Secaucus Police Department will respond to and investigate all reports of criminal activity and proactively investigate them.”
