NYC Men Sold Fentanyl In Clifton, Feds Say

The men were found with more than four kilograms of fentanyl, which they were trying to unload in Clifton:

CLIFTON, NJ — Two New York City men were sentenced to prison this week for selling fentanyl in Clifton, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger announced.

The men were found with more than four kilograms of fentanyl, said law enforcement.

The two men are Juan De La Cruz Infante Torres, 52, of Brooklyn and Billy Castro. Both previously pleaded guilty. Torres was sentenced this week to 57 months in prison, and Castro is awaiting sentencing.

Undercover FBI and DEA agents watched on June 15, 2021, as Infante and Castro took approximately 2 kilograms of fentanyl from Castro’s Queens apartment and transported the drug to Clifton, where they were arrested trying to sell it.

Law enforcement agents then searched Castro’s apartment and found approximately two additional kilograms of fentanyl.
