SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On April 29 at 11:03 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Joseph Mesidor of Orange, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Mesidor was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On April 30 at 6:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 37-year-old female, Diana Guerra of Kearny, NJ along with a 38-year-old female, Jackeline Garcia-Cordova of Kearny, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Ms. Guerra along with Ms. Garcia-Cordova were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On April 30 at 8:31 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 100 Park Plaza Drive to take into custody an individual believed to be at the location who had several outstanding warrants out for their arrest. Police arrested a 31-year-old female, Lauren Ell of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Andover, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wharton, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Ell was also charged with Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A]. Ms. Ell was issued her complaint summons and Officers from the Sussex County Sheriff Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Ms. Ell for transport back to their agency.

On April 30 at 11:26 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old male, Diego Tapia of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Long Branch, NJ in the amount of $600.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Long Branch, NJ in the amount of $600.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Tapia was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Tapia was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the North Bergen Police Department.

On May 2 at 7:05 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Detective Division in relation to a home burglary on the 700 block of Sixth Street that occurred on April 22, police arrested a 33-year-old male, Yoel Nunez of Jersey City, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Nunez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. The burglary occurred between 11:50 a.m. and 12:42 p.m. April 22, said police. The home on Sixth Street was not occupied at the time. This was not a random burglary; the suspect is known to the victim. Money was stolen from the residence.

On May 3 at 4:05 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Bryan Morel of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Scotch Plains, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10 % option. Mr. Morel was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 7 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
