Secaucus Police Blotter, July 8 - July 14

A 28-year-old Secaucus woman was arrested July 8 and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all the arrests for that time period:

On July 8 at 11:29 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Jose Canela-Perez of Secaucus, NJ for Exhibiting a False Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. Mr. Canela-Perez was issued his complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On July 8 at 12:08 p.m., Secaucus Police located a stolen motor vehicle in the area of County Avenue and Riverside Station Boulevard. During the investigation, police arrested a 26-year-old female, Abigail Rivera of Secaucus, NJ for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2A]. Police say the car was a rental vehicle and she was not making payments and is alleged to have kept the car. It was reported stolen by a car rental company located in North Bergen. Ms. Rivera was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On July 9 at 12:04 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a stolen motor vehicle and eluding incident that occurred on July 1, the police responded to the 1600 block of Paterson Plank Road and arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male of Secaucus, NJ. The juvenile male was issued his juvenile complaint summons for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2a], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2a(2)] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1a] and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On July 10 at 3:11 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 51-year-old male, Juan Rodriguez of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Rodriguez was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Failure to turn over CDS believed to be Cocaine to the Police [2C:35-10C] and Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. Mr. Rodriguez was issued his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On July 10 at 10:37 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a theft of a bicycle that occurred on July 6 at 60 Metro Way, police arrested a 32-year-old male, Jerome Davis of Orange, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Davis was arrested at Secaucus Police headquarters. He was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On July 11 at 2:19 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department’s Detective Division, in relation to a robbery that occurred at 12:23 a.m. on May 31 at 15 Meadowlands Parkway, arrested a 30 year-old male, Phillip Watford of Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Watford was charged with Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)], and was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Mr. Watford was subsequently processed and transported to the Hudson County jail.

On July 12 at 1:46 p.m., while investigating a shoplifting complaint at the local Walmart, Secaucus Police arrested 24 year-old male, Sebastian Iniguez of North Bergen, NJ on two outstanding warrants (one out of Hoboken with a bail of $5,000 and the other out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, no bail). He was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, who took custody of Mr. Iniguez.
