Secaucus Police Blotter, May 5 - May 11
A man on Fairview Avenue was charged with arson May 5, after police said he was purposely burning items in a shed.
SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On May 5 at 7:52 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to 6 Fairview Avenue on a report of fire located in a shed in the backyard area. At 11:23 p.m. on the same date, Secaucus Police responded to Jersey City, NJ and arrested a 28-year-old male, Steven Severino of Secaucus, NJ and charged him with Arson [2C:17-1B(2)]. He was purposely burning items in the shed, allege police. Severino was issued his complaint warrant and was detained pending a court appearance.
On May 6 at 12:42 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male of Monroe, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional two motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On May 6 at 8:05 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft of a motor vehicle that occurred on 10/11/2024 at 150 Harmon Meadow Boulevard, Secaucus Police responded to North Bergen, NJ and arrested a 27-year-old female, Anjali Arora-Williams of North Bergen, NJ for Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. Police also charged a 27-year-old male, Rialey Matthews of North Bergen, NJ with Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-A(1)]. Matthews was provided a copy of the complaint warrant and was detained at the Hudson County Jail. Arora-Williams was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County jail.
On May 6 at 8:36 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 60-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. He was issued a complaint summons and released from police custody.

On May 7 at 5:15 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Dave’s Fried Chicken located at 700 Plaza Drive and arrested a 22-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. He was transported to the Jersey City Police Department.
On May 8 at 11:51 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 41-year-old male of Hoboken, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Credit Cards [2C:21-6C(2)]. He was issued a complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On May 8 at 11:54 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male of Clifton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Passaic PD released him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On May 10 at 2:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 35-year-old male of Maplewood, NJ along with a 31-year-old female of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. She was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Both were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.
On May 8 at 4:00 p.m., Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male of Irvington, NJ for Exhibiting a False Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. He was arrested at Secaucus Police headquarters, was issued a complaint summons and released from police custody.
