SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Oct. 21 at 11:59 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Police arrested a 50-year-old female, Nikki George of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $600 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $500. The police also arrested a 50-year-old male, Kyl Leach of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Ms. George was released on her own recognizance regarding the outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ. Ms. George was able to post bail in relation to the outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ. Ms. George was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. Officers from the Jersey City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Leach for transport back to their agency. Mr. Leach was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of the Jersey City Police Department.
On Oct. 22 at 10:43 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old female, Irobosa Ekhaguere of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,500 with a 10% option. Ms. Ekhaguere was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 24 at 12:40 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Exxon Gas Station located at 445 Rt. 3 west for a report of a report from a gas attendant that a U-Haul van attempted to strike him with the vehicle. The vehicle involved was located in the parking lot of TJ Maxx located at 21 Millcreek Drive and a motor vehicle stop was conducted. It also became known that while committing the theft of gas, the gas attendant was threatened. He verbally threatened him while gesturing toward his waistband, giving the appearance he had a gun, however he was not found in possession of a firearm, said police. During the investigation, the police arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old male, Nelson Castellon of Ridgefield Park, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(2)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Hindering Apprehension by providing false information to the police [2C:29-3B(4)], Possession with intent to distribute CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-5B(9)(B)], Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer [2C:12-1B(5 (A)] and Throwing a Bodily Fluid at Law Enforcement Officer [2C:12-13]. Mr. Castellon was issued his complaint warrant along with three motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 24 at 2:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 32-year-old male, Roger Valenzuela of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 60-year-old female, Yolanda Garcia of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Valenzuela was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Ms. Garcia was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 24 at 11:39 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Melquisedec De Los Santos Quezada of Perth Amboy, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bloomfield, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Perth Amboy, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Perth Amboy, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Both Bloomfield and Perth Amboy did release Mr. De Los Santos Quezada on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Mr. De Los Santos Quezada was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On Oct. 25 at 3:03 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hudson County Superior Court to take into custody from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office a 52-year-old female, Hassana Benjamin of Valdosta, GA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. Ms. Benjamin was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 25 at 6:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 45-year-old male, William Velez of Elizabeth, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Velez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Oct. 25 at 3:15 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Cranford Police Department to take into custody a 25-year-old male, Elijah Walker-Grant of Red Bank, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Mr. Walker-Grant was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 25 at 11:09 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Wendy’s located at 16 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of an intoxicated driver operating a motor vehicle that had resulted in a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Jules Verdadero of Piscataway, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Verdadero was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On Oct. 26 at 2:59 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 69-year-old female, Debra Sullivan of Westfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $750. Passaic PD did release Ms. Sullivan on her own recognizance pending a future court date. Ms. Sullivan was issued 1 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Oct. 26 at 11:16 p.m., Secaucus Police were notified by the Wayne Police Department regarding an individual residing in the Secaucus jurisdiction who had an outstanding warrant that had been issued by the Wayne Police Department. The Secaucus Police responded to the 800 block of 7th Street and arrested a 41-year-old male, George Ayyoub of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ with no bail. Wayne Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Ayyoub for transport back, to their agency.
On Oct. 27 at 11:11 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle parked in the parking lot of Best Buy located at 3 Mill Creek Drive. The owner of the motor vehicle was found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Westampton Police Department. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, Alexi Lopez-Larosa of West New York, NJ for the outstanding warrant. Mr. Lopez-Larosa was subsequently transported to the NJ State Police Barracks in Woodbridge, NJ where custody was transferred to the Westampton Police Department.
On Oct. 27 at 3:05 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 40-year-old male, Jose Ramirez Calisto of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Ramirez Calisto was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Oct. 27 at 6:41 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Victor Villegas-Penafiel of Flushing, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Villegas-Penafiel was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
