Secaucus Police Officers Save Man's Life In Harmon Cove Towers
At 8:49 p.m. Sunday (Mother's Day), Secaucus Police received a 911 call of a 34-year-old man not breathing in Harmon Cove Towers:

SECAUCUS, NJ — These two Secaucus Police officers are credited with saving a man's life Sunday in Harmon Cove Towers:
At 8:49 p.m. Sunday, May 12 (Mother's Day), Secaucus Police received a 911 call of an unresponsive 34-year-old man who was not breathing.
Upon arrival, Police Officer Michael Borrelli immediately began CPR. Officer Austin Hawxhurst readied his Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and delivered one “shock” to the victim.

Officers Borrelli and Hawxhurst continued CPR until Hudson Regional EMTs got there. After delivering a second "shock," the two officers and EMTs continued CPR until a pulse was found and he ultimately regained consciousness.
Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said he did not know what caused the man to initially lose consciousness. However, he was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and as of Wednesday, remains in stable condition in the hospital.

“I am extremely proud of these officers and I commend their collaboration in performing these lifesaving measures and bringing this victim back to life,” said Miller. “I also want to praise Hudson Regional Hospital EMS and Jersey City Medical Center’s paramedics for their ongoing commitment to the safety of the residents of the town of Secaucus.”
