The Secaucus Library will host a "Wild About Will (Shakespeare)": Mini-Renaissance Festival this Saturday, Aug. 10 in Buchmuller Park.

From 1 - 3 p.m., Buchmuller Park will be transformed into a magical renaissance village with jugglers, jesters and jousters. Come dance, juggle, joust, die your most dramatic death or just sit back and watch. Performances by Tempest Productions and Montclair Early Music; children's activities provided by The Craft Clique and the Secaucus Public Library; refreshments by Outback Steakhouse.

Secaucus Talent Show Wednesday, August 14 6 p.m. fourth annual Secaucus’ Got Talent.

Come to Buchmuller Park for a night of fun, music and dance showcasing our community’s local talent. All ages are welcome. Our pop-up library will be there, too, with free books, children's activities, raffle tickets, info about upcoming library events, and much more!

Back to school drive Saturday, August 17 9 am – 12 pm

Town is seeking donations of School Supplies, Backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, folders. During the month the items can be dropped at the Community Center 145 Front St Monday through Friday 8 am – 3 pm Any questions please call Marybeth or Paula at 201-330-2014

Also looking for donations of $10.00 gift cards to Walmart or Shop Rite

Wednesday, August 21 1-1:30 p.m. Drop-in Story Time at Library Annex. Children ages 3-5 years old are invited for a special storytime at the annex, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Wednesday, August 21 6-6:30 p.m. Screen Free Lego Duplos. Join us for a 30-minute play session for children ages 3-6 featuring Lego Duplos. Library Annex.

Secaucus Youth Art Show Aug. 28 Join us on Wednesday, August 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. to celebrate the young artists of Secaucus. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend. Held at the main library.

Wednesday, August 28. 4-5pm. People in Your Neighborhood with a local beekeeper. Celebrate bees and honey at this special story time featuring local beekeeper Richard Stelingwarf.

Coming up in September:

Friday, September 13. 6:30pm-9pm. Secaucus Wine Night. The Friends of the Library are proud to host this evening of wine tastings, light appetizers and live music at the Secaucus Town Pool. This event is made possible by the generosity of the Mayor and Town Council. All profits benefit the Friends of the Library’s fund for arts and cultural programming at the library. Admission is $5 per person. All Secaucus residents over the age of 21 are invited to attend. Photo ID will be required at the door. No outside food or beverages permitted.

Saturday, September 21. Wiggle and Giggle Music and Movement Fun with Miss Bee. 10:30am- 11am. Children five years old and under are invited to the Katherine Steffens Library Annex to sing, dance, shake eggs, and wave scarves to music. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

Tuesday, September 24. Tales Well Told: Women Breaking Loose! Join us for a special theatrical event by renowned actress Michele LaRue featuring dramatic readings of "A Pair of Silk Stockings" by Kate Chopin and "Representing T.A. Buck" by Edna Ferber. Q&A session to follow. Light refreshments will be served. 12pm-1:30pm at the main library.

Saturday, October 19 2nd Annual Multicultural Book Festival. Don't miss this day of book readings, author discussions, signings, children's activities, international foods and more! Tons of events happening throughout the day at our main library. Co-sponsored and hosted by The Diversity Center and the Secaucus Public Library. More details will be announced soon.
