SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - As heavy rains lashed through New Jersey Thursday evening, the South Brunswick School District decided to opt for a delayed opening on Wednesday.

Superintendent Scott Feder said the district will have a two-hour delayed opening after discussions with the Office of Emergency Management and to support the Township Department of Public Works.

"When the District operates under a 2-Hour delay, bus pick-ups will be 2 hours later than normal pick-up times. The before-school music program at Crossroads Middle School is automatically canceled when the District operates under a delayed-opening schedule. Champions will begin their Before School Childcare Program at 9 a.m. In times of inclement weather, all special education out-of-district placements will follow South Brunswick School District's schedule," Feder said.
