NEW JERSEY - A deadly crash, a stabbing, and a carjacking with an Amber Alert punctuated a violent Halloween in the Garden State Tuesday.
Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Stepdaughter
A 64-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his stepdaughter Tuesday morning in New Brunswick, the Middlesex County Prosecutor said.

Teodulo Habana, 64, was charged in connection with the stabbing of Lissi Rodriguez-Sanchez, 20, of New Brunswick.
At 9:12 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a home on the 30 block of Juliet Street after receiving a report that there were two injured people inside.

Officers found the woman and man, both injured, with the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She died at the scene, authorities said.
Habana sustained serious injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he is being treated.
Habana is the stepfather of Rodriguez-Sanchez and according to police, his wounds were self-inflicted, and he was the perpetrator of this crime.
Habana has been charged with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
2 Killed, 2 Injured After Car Slams Into Box Truck
Two people were killed and two seriously injured after a car slammed head-on into a box truck in Sayreville on Tuesday.
Shortly after 4 p.m. police responded to a crash at Bordentown Avenue and Waterworks Road where a Nissan had collided head-on with a box truck. The driver and the rear passenger seated on the driver’s side of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene.
The front passenger and rear passenger seated on the passenger’s side of the Nissan sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital where they are being treated, police said. The occupants of the box truck sustained minor injuries.
Investigators said the Nissan was driving on Bordentown Avenue when it crossed over a double yellow line, colliding with the box truck.
Amber Alert Issued After Carjacking
An Amber Alert was issued on Halloween after a carjacking in Newark. A child who was inside the car at the time has since been found and was reported unharmed, authorities said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, officers responded to the 100-block of Wilson Avenue at 8:13 a.m. after getting a report about a carjacking. A 3-year-old child was inside the car at the time.
Police immediately began canvassing the area for a 2017 silver-colored Hyundai Sonata. An Amber Alert for the child, Pedro Dasilva, was issued at 9:55 a.m., authorities said.
Police found the vehicle in Jersey City around 10:30 a.m. Dasilva was inside – and unharmed, authorities said.
An investigation into the carjacking continues, Newark police said.
