Teen Improv for Grades 6-12South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 3 p.m.

Learn how to improvise like they do at famous comedy theaters like Second City and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade! Back-To-School Event, Quaker Bridge Mall, 150 Quakerbridge Mall, Lawrenceville, 1 p.m.

Families and children are invited to score an "A+" in preparedness and entertainment with Simon Kidgits Club's annual Back-To-School event at Quaker Bridge Mall on Saturday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Court. Simon Kidgits Club's Back-To-School free event will feature various interactive activities for children and valuable offers for adults, all designed to help with the transitioning into academic routines a little easier. To incorporate excitement into getting back to the classroom, Quaker Bridge Mall will feature Wondergy, an interactive science teacher from Philadelphia who promises to "Bring Science Education and Fun Together." From lighting water balloons aflame and playing with liquid nitrogen to creating the freshest, homemade ice cream with liquid nitrogen for an indulgent summer treat, Quaker Bridge Mall's Back-To-School event will explore different ways to stay cool during the last of the summer weeks before the new school year.

Groundbreaking Reads End-of-Summer Party, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 2 p.m.

The End-of-Summer Party for the Adult Summer Reading Program will be held today in Meeting Room A/B.  If you have submitted a book review for the Groundbreaking Reads program or if you have attended a theme-related program or submitted art for the group mural, you are invited to attend. There will be refreshments and the unveiling of the group mural and sharing information about what everyone has read.

Free Dance PerformanceCrossroads Theatre, 7 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, 5 p.m.

The group 10 Hairy Legs knows they can dance. They are an amazing group of all male dancers who along with other dancers will be at Crossroads Theatre.
