Blaze Damages Home, Displaces Family In South Brunswick
No injuries were reported. The family is staying with relatives in the area and a GoFundMe has been started to help them.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A blaze at a ranch-style home in the Kendall Park section of the Township on Saturday damaged a home and displaced a family, authorities said.
At 7:45 p.m. Saturday evening, firefighters responded to a home at 4 Beryl Court in the Kendall Park.
On arrival, officers and firefighters found heavy flames at the rear of the home.

No injuries were reported. The homeowner told authorities he was able to get his wife, two sons, and pets out of the home before police arrived.
The homeowner was outside the house when he noticed smoke from the rear of his ranch-style home, authorities said.

Flames started to show and quickly spread up the rear of the home to the attic.
The Kendall Park, Monmouth Junction, and Kingston fire companies, with mutual aid assistance from North Brunswick and Franklin townships battled the blaze.
Kendall Park First Aid also responded to the fire. The fire left the home uninhabitable.
South Brunswick Fire Marshall John Funcheon indicated the fire was not suspicious but remains under active investigation.
The family was able to stay with relatives in the area.
A GoFundMe has been started to help the family. As of Monday it managed to raise $3,610 of he $30,000 goal.
