Columbus Day Closures, Council Meeting: South Brunswick This Week

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Good morning, South Brunswick. Welcome to another edition of the Monday manual where we tell you what's happening in town this week.
Columbus Day
All Municipal offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Columbus Day. There will be no interruptions with garbage or recycling collections scheduled for Monday. Call the Recycling office with any questions at 732-329-4000, extension 7274.

Council Meeting
The Municipal Council will be meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Here's the agenda.

Traffic Enforcement
The South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting the following directed traffic
enforcement through Oct. 13:
- West Side
New Road (Kendall Park): Speeding, distracted driving, and weight restriction violations - East Side
Route 522: Speeding, distracted driving, and traffic signal violations
Road Closures
PSE&G's Ridge Road Gas Project will see the closing of the 5 Corners intersection for milling and paving this week. This will be performed early Monday and Tuesday mornings, Oct. 9 and 10, between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Detours will be posted, use Route 522 and Route 130 to avoid the intersection. Access to Wawa will be available. Follow directions of police officers and other traffic controllers.
