“This team has always worked together, has always talked things out and worked it out. We don't always agree, but most time we do. And when we don't, we still go out and have a beer,” Camarota said.

“And that's the way politics should be, and government should run in the county, state and most certainly on the federal level.”

Camarota said he valued the ability to work through disagreements and maintain a collegial atmosphere. He acknowledged contributions from both sides of the political spectrum in making South Brunswick a better place.

“It's always been a privilege to be elected. Always a privilege to serve the people. But when you have a team like this, it's so much easier,” Camarota said.

Patricia Germain is the newly-elected councilmember who will begin serving in January.
