South Brunswick Approves Redevelopment Plan Along Route 1

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Town Council recently adopted an ordinance adopting the AST Redevelopment Plan.

AST Redevelopment Plan proposes a six-story apartment building close to the intersection of Route 1 and Campus Drive.

The building will have 304 units including a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, both at affordable and market rates. It will include partial below-grade parking and a series of residential amenities like gardens, walking paths, recreational courtyards, a fitness center, and more.

The site currently contains existing buildings that are substantially deteriorated and have been vacant for a long period of time.

The proposed buildings are substantially set back from Route 1 and significant landscape screening will be required.
