“Barry served on probably every committee for multiple years. If you ever go to a football game, you'll see Barry sitting by himself on his chair behind the goalpost,” Feder said.
He noted that Nathanson was “always just the most positive spirit for this district. So with that said, Barry, you're going to be missed.”

Board president Lisa Rodgers paid a tearful tribute to Nathanson recalling all the times he helped her when she first joined the BOE.
“As you close your time out on this board, I want to thank you, on behalf of the entire board... for the dedication that you have shown to the school district. Your knowledge, your experience and your deep understanding of our district's history have been invaluable. That's what we're going to lose - the knowledge. You've provided many of us with insight that have guided our decisions and helped us better serve our students, our staff and the community as a whole,” Rodgers said.
“Your contributions have made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for your commitment to excellence.”
In his comments, Nathanson thanked the community for giving him the opportunity to serve the district for years.
“While the recent election didn't go as I hoped, I remain proud of the work we've accomplished together over the years. I want to give a special shout out to our amazing staff, whose dedication and hard work make our schools a nurturing environment for our students,” Nathanson said.
“To the parents, thank you for your unwavering support and partnership in ensuring the success of our children and to the students - you are the heart of our mission. Your growth and achievements inspire us all.”
