South Brunswick Man Used Fake Money At Wawa: Police

He was charged with theft by deception and uttering a forged document.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A South Brunswick man was charged after he used fake currency notes at a local Wawa, police said.

James Leonard, 41, of South Brunswick passed multiple fake $100 bills at a local Wawa before he was apprehended by police, authorities said. He was charged with theft by deception and uttering a forged document.

Police released a picture of the fake bills which had “For Motion Picture Use Only” printed on the top.
