The circus highlights events in and around town this week.

Monday
Beginner Yoga, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 7 p.m.
This class offers an introduction to foundational yoga postures (asana) inspired by sun and moon salutations, safe alignment principles, breathing practice (pranayama), deep relaxation (savasana), and basic yoga philosophy. No experience required and students new to yoga are encouraged to attend. Please dress in comfortable exercise clothers and bring a large towel and a yoga "sticky" mat with you to class. The room is often cool so please bring a sweat shirt.

The gong vibrates all of our cells releasing stress and tension bringing our bodies into a state of inner peace and connectedness. The varied sounds and vibrations of the gong create deep relaxation and state of meditation.
Wednesday
Around the World in 80 Treasures - Lunch-time Documentary Series, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 12:30 p.m.
A new ten-part documentary series, Around the World in 80 Treasures: A Quest for Mankind’s Greatest Achievements, written and presented by architectural historian Dan Cruickshank for the BBC, will start on May 15, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A/B. In the first segment, Cruickshank travels from Peru to Brazil, exploring places like Machu Picchu, Easter Island and Rio de Janeiro.
This program will continue every month through February 2014, on the third Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A/B, when they will show all ten episodes of this award-winning documentary.
Thursday
How to Organize your Digital Photos, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 10 a.m.
Learn how to edit your digital photos with Picasa. Picasa is freeware available from Google. Bring your camera and data cord (and laptop if you have one) to learn how to use Picasa. A Gmail account is encouraged but not required.

Zerbini Family Circus, Crossroads South Middle School, 195 Major Rd, Monmouth Junction, 7:30 p.m.
Sponsord by the South Brunswick Lions Club. Under the big top, rain or shine. The circus will be at Crossroads South Middle School at the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane for five shows.
