Anyone who believes their vehicle was targeted but who has not filed a police report is requested to do so.

Police also shared three simple steps residents can take to deter burglary to vehicles:

  • Lock up your vehicle, even if it’s parked in your driveway, and even if you’ve never been targeted before
  • Never leave your keys, including proximity keys used for keyless entry and ignition, in your vehicle. Always take the keys with you.
  • Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle, and especially not in plain view.
