Today: Show a Senior Some Love; Weather and Traffic
Your daily look at what's going on in town today.

With another gorgeous August day awaiting as we move over the hump, it's the perfect opportunity to show a senior citizen some appreciation.
That's right, today is National Senior Citizens Day, where citizens are encouraged to recognize the contributions of the elderly to society.
"For all they have achieved throughout life and for all they continue to accomplish, we owe older citizens our thanks and a heartfelt salute," President Ronald Reagan said when he signed the proclamation in 1988. "We can best demonstrate our gratitude and esteem by making sure that our communities are good places in which to mature and grow older."
With that in mind, let's see what's going on around town today.1. Today's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 88 degrees and 60 percent humidity.
2. With National Senior Citizens Day, residents are encouraged to spend time with a senior you care about or perform volunteer work to support the elderly.
