Traffic Alert: Accident at NJ Turnpike Exit 8A Causing Backup

Three car accident at exit ramp caused minor injuries.

A motor vehicle accident at the exit ramp of Exit 8A on the New Jersey Turnpike has caused some traffic backup in the area.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, with minor injuries reported, according to South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Jim Ryan. EMS and police are currently at the scene, along with tow trucks to remove the wreckage from the ramp.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the intersection of Route 535 and Thatcher Road for the next 30 minutes. Traffic is also beginning to increase on Cranbury Road as a result of the accident, according to police.
