Blood Drive Donors Will Be Entered to Win Super Bowl Tickets

All presenting donors entered into a sweepstakes for a pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII and an official NFL jersey.

Jonathan Dayton High School will hold a blood drive from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday.

"Due to the constant need for blood, we will be running a third blood drive this year," Andrew Shanes, Dayton senior class president and chair of the blood drive committee. 

Shanes and the committee are encouraging all residents to come out and donate.

"As most of the time slots are after school, we are especially encouraging parents to stop by on their way home from picking up their children from school and donate then," he said. "We will be showing children Halloween-related movies while parents are donating."

As an added incentive, all donors will be entered into a sweepstakes to win Super Bowl Tickets and an official NFL Jersey.

"If you donate using the Alyx Machine, your name will be entered twice," Shanes explained. 

Residents can sign up for an appointment by emailing JDHSblood@gmail.com; any questions about donating can be answered via that address as well.  

All donors must be 16 (with signed NJBS parental consent form) or older, meet weight/ height criteria, be in good health and bring photo/signature ID. 

Donors are encouraged to eat well before donating.
