Sha'arey Shalom Holds Rosh Hashanah Apple Picking Excursion
Temple holds free day of apple picking this Sunday in Morristown.
Temple Sha'arey Shalom of Springfield is ushering in a sweet new year 5771 with its Second Annual Congregational Apple Picking Day on Sunday, Sep. 12.
The free event will be held at Wightman's Farms, located at 1111 Mt. Kemble Road in Morristown, NJ. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and their families areinvited to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a beautiful day in the orchard, starting at 12 noon. There will be an abundance of apples, ripe for the picking!
"What better way to enhance the holiday than by spending the day with your family and friends picking fresh apples to celebrate the new year?" commented Jodi Silverstein, Chair of the Temple Sha'arey Shalom Membership/Programming Committee. "You can even sweeten the new year some more with fresh honey from the farm!" she added.

Wightman's Farms also offers a hayride, pumpkin picking, a corn maze and a fun pumpkin slingshot game. This temple apple-picking event is free and open to the public. Simply pay Wightman's for any other activities your family chooses. For directions, you can visit their website.
