opportunity to meet local candidates for township committee. An open

invitation will be extended to all interested Springfield registered voters.

Non partisan moderators, selected by: the Springfield Patriot Chamber of

Commerce and Springfield Hadassah’s Community Affairs Committee,

will chair the forum.

Pens and paper will be available for written questions. Questions must

pertain to local (Springfield) matters and be addressed to one or more of

the candidates. Questions will be collected, screened by members of the

non partisan Hadassah Community Affairs Committee and placed in

candidate specific order. Vocal questions from the audience will not be

permitted.

 

THE FORUM

At the beginning of the program, each candidate will have a 3-minute

opportunity to introduce himself/herself to the audience. Presentation order

and closing order will be determined prior to the program. The moderator

will alternate questions addressed to specific candidates. Answers must

be limited to 1 minute and only one candidate from the opposing party will

have the opportunity to rebut a specific answer. Only current candidates for

the Springfield Township Committee will be permitted to answer

questions. At the conclusion, each candidate will have a 2-minute

opportunity to present a final statement.
