LINDEN, NJ — Around $6,000 in cash and jewelry was stolen from a store overnight, Linden Police said. On Monday morning at around 1:30 a.m., a man broke the front glass of a store along North Wood Avenue and got into the building. He was able to flee on a mountain bike with the cash and items. He is described as a Black man with a beard, believed to be in his 40s, authorities said. He was wearing a dark "puffy" winter jacket, black pants, black gloves, and black shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Philippakos at 908-474-8530 or nphilippakos@lpdnj.org. Linden Police also remind residents that anonymous information can be sent to crimetips@lpdnj.org.
