Where: Rahway River Park, Samuel's Grove picnic area

What: As the name indicates, Youthchella (Silent Party Edition) is reserved for a younger crowd — specifically those between the ages of 10 and 18. The event is happening between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday. More information is available here.

Summer Kids Fest

When: July 25

Where: Warinanco Park, Park Avenue, Roselle

What: There will be games, food, drinks, face painting, and over 20 small businesses. The event will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. across from the football field. More information is here.

When: July 28

Where: Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit

What: Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets to Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit to celebrate the return of its summer concert series, Sounds of a Summer Night. The concerts at the garden kick off this Wednesday and continue through August. Ticket information is below.

Where: Westfield Ballroom, at 361 South Avenue E., Westfield
What: The Summit Animal Rescue Association event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Westfield Ballroom.
