An alleged armed carjacker was arrested Wednesday afternoon after causing a bizarre chain of events in Union County.

An alleged armed carjacker was arrested Wednesday afternoon after causing a bizarre chain of events, which includes striking the vehicle of Union County Prosecutor Grace Park, along Route 22 in Union, reports say.

It was just after 1 p.m. When police say 35-year-old Quadree Frazier got into a dispute with two women at a motel located on Route 22. During the dispute, Frazier allegedly opened fire, causing one victim wounds in the chin and neck area, according to nj.com.

He also allegedly pistol whipped the motel manger in the head several times as he attempted to confront Frazier – causing a deep cut that later required stitches.

Frazier then reportedly ran across the entire width of Route 22 to a Springfield Target store and approached a woman who had just exited her vehicle, stating he hurt his leg and needed help, according to CBS Local. As she looked down at his leg Frazier allegedly pulled a gun on her and demanded the woman’s car keys.

Shortly after driving off with the victim’s vehicle, a Lincoln, Frazier crashed into a pickup truck traveling on Rt. 22 east, collided with another car traveling near Michigan Avenue, and crashed into a Jeep that was parked in a parking lot and occupied by Union County Prosecutor Grace Park, according to ABC 7.

He then drove through the wall of a Route 22 Halloween store, where the prosecutor’s vehicle was parked, which caused a fire. NBC New York reports Prosecutor Park was shaken up but not hurt in the incident.

After the crash, Frazier exited the vehicle and was apprehended by police who later found a hand gun underneath one of the cars that crashed at the Halloween store.

Frazier, who has residency in Newark and East Orange, sustained a broken vertebrae in his neck and back, damaged ribs and a collapsed lung during the incident. He remains under police watch at University Hospital and is expected to be charged with carjacking, weapons offenses and attempted murder, according to NBC Philadelphia.
