Annual Halloween Parade, Costume Contest Being Held In Summit
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be crowned in a number of categories.

SUMMIT, NJ — The city's annual Halloween Parade and festival is hitting the streets this Saturday.
Beginning at 2:45 p.m., participants of all ages are invited to wear a costume and meet at 25 Deforest Ave. for a march to the Village Green. The parade will continue down Beachwood Road, Springfield Avenue, Maple Street, and conclude at the Village Green at 365 Broad St.
There will be a period for participants to walk across the main stage to be considered in the annual costume contest. According to the Summit Department of Community Programs, prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in the following categories:

There will also be Halloween-themed games, giveaways, and treats from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Music and other entertainment will continue until 5 p.m. at the Village Green.
The annual Halloween parade is put on by the Summit Department of Community Programs (DCP) in collaboration with the Summit Police Athletic League (PAL).
