Celebrate Christmas With Celtic Traditions In Summit

The 27th annual concert series is holding two shows in Summit.

SUMMIT, NJ — A special celebration of Celtic Christmas traditions is coming to Summit on Dec. 14.

The "Pipes of Christmas" music ensemble is bringing their performance to the Central Presbyterian Church following multiple nights in Boston and New York City.

Brass, strings, and percussion musicians will be joined by poets and more from America and the UK for the yearly tradition that began in 1999.

Tickets for the 2 p.m. show are sold out, but admission to the second event at 7 p.m. is available now.

This is the 27th annual concert series put on by The Learned of Kindred of Currie and the Clan Currie Society. The nonprofit cultural and educational organization works to promote Scottish and Highland heritage and arts through a variety of programs across the world.

All ticket sale revenue from the concerts goes directly to funding scholarships, supporting artists, building a presence at the Highland Games, and other events around the globe.

The Learned Kindred of Currie and the Clan Currie Society were founded in 1992 and now has more than 5,000 members worldwide.
