City Offices To Close In Summit For Martin Luther King. Jr. Day

City Hall and all Summit offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Read about other city announcements below.

SUMMIT, NJ — All city offices in Summit will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Monday is also a parking holiday in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking or parking in municipal lots and garages.

Trash and recycling collections are not affected by the holiday and will be operating on regular schedules next week, from Jan. 16 to Jan. 20.

The city is also offering a number of events for the community in honor of the holiday — from film screenings to volunteer opportunities.
