Expect Traffic Delays In Summit Next Week, Water Main Installation

SUMMIT, NJ — Road work will begin in Summit on or about Wednesday, July 6 due to New Jersey American Water installing new water mains.

The water mains will be installed along Morris Avenue between River Road and Kent Place Boulevard.

According to the city, the project is expected to be complete on Wednesday, August 10, weather permitting.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., according to the city.

Summit Police will be onsite to direct traffic, and emergency vehicles will always have access to the road.
