Hundreds Attend Memorial Day Events, Including Council Hopefuls
The day included a parade and ceremony in the Village Green.

Following a parade through city streets, approximately 500 people gathered at the Village Green in Summit to honor the memories of those who lost their lives while in service to our nation's military for the town's annual Memorial Day ceremony.
The parade was hosted by Summit's American Legion Post No. 322 and featured Summit Police, fire department and EMS, as well as the Summit High School marching band.
Summit Republican hopefuls used the day's events to campaign for upcoming council elections, distributing balloons to those in attendance. Among those vying for the attention of Summit voters was Mike McTernan. McTernan is seeking one of two council seats in the local election.
