Inclement Weather Postpones Miracle On Elm St. Event In Summit Again
Due to possible rain and snow on Friday, the city is postponing the Miracle on Elm Street skating event for the second time.

SUMMIT, NJ — After Summit's Miracle on Elm Street ice skating event was postponed to Dec. 23 due to rainy weather, the event has been postponed once again due to potential rain and snow on Friday.
The event will now be a Valentine's skating event to take place on Saturday, Feb. 11. This will include free ice skating all day, as well as free hot beverages, bonfires and marshmallows and free music and entertainment.
According to the National Weather Service, a chance of rain and snow is predicted on Friday between 1 and 4 p.m. Some thunder is also possible.

The temperature is expected to fall to around 23 degrees by 5 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent, but little or no snow accumulation is expected, according to the NWS.
