New Dog Run Approved For Summit, Could Become Permanent
The Summit Common Council on Tuesday night voted on a dog run pilot program at the Municipal Transfer Station.

SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Common Council approved on Tuesday night the construction of a temporary dog park in an area behind the Summit Free Market building at the Summit Transfer Station on 40 New Providence Ave.
The dog park will be open on Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. during the weeks of Aug. 19, Aug. 26, and Sept. 2.
After the three-week trial period, the success of the program will be evaluated by the staff. A recommendation may be made for a permanent dog park.
