Summit School Registration Details For Kindergarten, 1st Grade: What You Need To Know (patch.com) — Families in Summit with children entering kindergarten or first grade in the 2026–2027 school year can begin registering online starting Dec. 15, with paper applications no longer accepted. Parents must schedule an appointment through the portal for residency verification and can upload many required documents in advance, while additional details and forms are available on the Summit Public Schools website.

Free Holiday Parking Throughout Summit: See Where (patch.com) — Summit residents can enjoy free parking at select 90-minute street spots, the Bank Street Lot, and the ground level of the Tier Garage through Dec. 31, though time limits will still be enforced. Several Park and Shop and permit lots remain paid, while Dec. 25–26 and New Year’s holidays bring full parking holidays at all municipal locations.
